Created for army observation work and used throughout America during and
immediately after the war, it helped private flying to grow and
thrive throughout the 1950's and paved the way for more advanced
designs. A real WW2 veteran which served in many, varied roles.
What you need to know before booking
You should be agile as embarking and disembarking is difficult and
requires flexibility. Please be advised this may not be suitable for
persons who are pregnant, suffer from epilepsy, fits, severe head
injuries, recurrent fainting, giddiness or blackouts, high blood
pressure, or heart conditions. For their own safety diabetics may be
required to produce a medical certificate. No previous flying
experience is required. Disabled are welcome (subject to the type of
handicap). If in doubt please consult your doctor and/or contact us.

Approx. timing
Chock-to-chock airborne time: 15mins to 40mins (check prices) + half
an hour for briefings, embarking and certificates. Please allow an
additional hour to your chock-to-chock timing, and note that flying
days may be disrupted by the weather.

Soft soled shoes, gloves when cold weather

Flying jacket and helmet (open-cockpit aircraft); headset
Still and video cameras
Cameras can be taken on the day and used on the ground by guests
– even around the planes – but they are prohibited inside the
cockpit for safety reasons.
Spectators
Additional guests are most welcome to come along on the day and
witness your experience. There is no cost.
