With a vintage flight experience you will receive a briefing before
the flight where you will have an opportunity to ask questions. When
airborne, your instructor will invite you to handle the controls of
the aircraft and experience the thrill of flying one of these
beautiful old machines.

Please ensure that the contact telephone number above enables us to
reach you throughout the day of your flight. From time to time we
may need to call you after you have left home to inform you about
changes to our flying programme. It is imperative that we have a
telephone number that is valid on the day (i.e. not a work telephone
number) in order to avoid unnecessary inconvenience. Where a
telephone number cannot be provided it is the responsibility of the
flyer to check the weather line regularly as updates are posted
throughout the day.

Flying in vintage aircraft is weather dependant and sometimes
flights are cancelled due to adverse weather conditions such as
rain, low cloud and high or gusty winds. The weather line is active
from 08:30 on your flying day and is updated periodically during the
day as weather conditions change. It is your responsibility to check
the weather line before you leave for your flying experience. We
endeavor to schedule your flight at a time that will allow you to
check the weather before you leave for your experience. If you feel
that you need to leave home earlier than 08:30 please call the
office to re-book your flight time. The weather line number is 0870
446 0747 and is an automated menu driven system.
We take your
safety very seriously and the decision on whether or not your flying
experience will go ahead is at the sole discretion of your pilot.
Our pilots are professionally trained in meteorology and have a good
knowledge of localised weather patterns.
If your flying day
is cancelled due to bad weather will we endeavor to re-book your
flying experience. It is your responsibility to contact The Delta
Aviation office within two weeks of your cancellation to make a
re-booking. When calling the office please have this letter with you.

The maximum weight is 16 stone. If you can fit comfortably into a
standard sized car seat you will be comfortable in the cockpit. We
want you to be comfortable on the day so casual clothes, trousers
and soft shoes should be worn. We will lend you a flying jacket
along with a protective helmet and visor. Bring sunglasses if it is
sunny and keep long hair tied back. Please allow two hours for the
whole experience.

Guests are extremely welcome at all venues. While you are welcome to
take pictures of our aircraft we often have to limit photographers
in close proximity i.e. next to the aeroplane. Guests will not be
allowed “airside” in any circumstance. If you have any questions
about accessibility at any venue then please ask beforehand. Pets
are not allowed on the airfield.
