The nearest motorway is the M63, junction 2. The flights are based at Barton's unique Visitor Centre. Between 12 and 3 every Sunday, try our delicious home cooked Sunday Roast. For just £4.50 you get soup, generous main course and a pudding!! Visitors accompanying a person taking an Introductory Flying Lesson are welcome to make use of these facilities whilst the flight takes place. A small souvenir and coffee shop are at the front of the Centre, overlooking the airfield. A small museum section at the front of the Visitor Centre features many interesting documents and displays which tell the history of the original Manchester Airport. The Bomber Command Association also has a display here. There is an outdoor balcony on the 1st Floor of the control tower provided for the viewing of aircraft take-off's and landings. A visitor paddock area with seating is provided in front of the Visitor Centre adjacent to the Main Car Park and in the Clubhouse Garden.
